Calibrate your spectrophotometer!

To get reproducible measurement results a calibration of the device is needed. Therefor a certified white standard (for example from the PTB Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) as well as a black reference is needed to use. It is important to keep the surface of the calibration standards clean and free from any dirt or scratches. If the device is used regulary, we recommend a daily calibration or before starting with measuring large series.

• Choosing different measurement spots to have middle values
• The measurement opening must be covered completely
• Room temperature
• Ambient light
• Background by translucent probes
• Curved probes are always measured on the same area
